FAQs

Is a contract required to use Reyki AI?

No.

May I leave Reyki AI anytime after joining?

Yes. There are no penalties or obligations for leaving. We only ask that you send a 60-day advance courtesy email to support@reyki.ai. That allows us to help ensure a smooth transition of cloud billings operations for you.

AWS Users: Do not simply delete your CloudFormation stack without informing Reyki AI. If you do so, our system will automatically assume you want to leave Reyki AI's organization, and proceed with off-boarding process. This can lead to disruption to cloud billing with AWS.

What is Reyki AI Network (RAIN)?

RAIN is a dynamic ecosystem of cloud vendors, technology partners, and Reyki AI customers. As the network grows, Reyki AI evolves into a pivotal market maker, facilitating the exchange of diverse cloud resources. This system allows organizations with surplus cloud capacity to efficiently redistribute to those in need, optimizing cloud resource allocation across the board. Membership in RAIN not only enhances this balance but also offers significant financial advantages, including an additional 10% savings on Reyki AI service fees. See pricing plans.

If I don't join Reyki AI Network (RAIN), can I still use Reyki AI?

Yes. However, ~80% of our customers join RAIN to reap the greatest net savings.

Does Reyki AI require a minimum cloud usage or commitment?

No. However, the opportunity for savings scales with your overall cloud spend and consumption. The more use, the more Reyki AI is able to help you save.

Does Reyki AI guarantee a minimum % of cloud savings?

No. While most of our customers see upwards of 50%+ savings on average, each customer's cloud savings will vary according to their own cloud consumption patterns and architecture. For most customers, there is also a "ramp period" in which Reyki AI gradually materializes more and more savings over time, as we compile and analyze more of your cloud usage data. The savings amount is also a function of your overall cloud consumption size. Generally speaking, the more you consume, the more we can optimize and save you money.

Can I verify my cloud usage and costs against Reyki AI dashboards?

Yes. You an always compare your first-party cloud provider's usage dashboard with Reyki AIs. While our visualizations, formats, and styling may differ, the actual consumption data will always be the same. You can also validate that we never mark up any cloud prices.

Does Reyki AI mark up cloud resource prices?

No. Reyki AI never marks up cloud prices to resell to our customers at a profit.

How is Reyki AI priced?

We use performance-driven pricing. This means that we earn a percentage of the amount of savings that we generate for you. In doing so, we ensure that our interests are always aligned. In other words, we only earn when we save you money.

Is Reyki AI a cloud re-seller, distributor, group buyer, or MSP?

No. We do not buy low (wholesale rates) and sell high (retail rates)for cloud resources. There are managed service providers (MSPs) or authorized resellers who do that as a commercial function. Reyki AI develops and serves an end-to-end unified cloud cost optimization technology that enables our customers to enhance cloud resource utilization, streamline billing operations, and minimize waste. This technical function is complementary to whatever commercial deals you may already have in place either directly with cloud providers (CSPs) or MSPs.

What are Reyki AI credits?

We believe in taking responsibility. And never penalizing our customers.

In very rare instances, Reyki AI may over-provision cloud resources in such a way that causes our customers to spend more than necessary. When exceptions occur, they are automatically tracked and recorded as part of a customer credits ledger. These credits are then applied to offset customers' normal cloud billing. In such a way, Reyki AI ensures to always take responsibility for any potential mistakes made on our part. The costs of any Reyki AI mistakes are never passed to our customers.

Taxes for Sale of Reserved Instances on Your Behalf (AWS Users Only)

Register "Seller" status on AWS Reserved Instance (RI) Marketplace.

Your sale of Reserved Instances (RI) might be subject to a transaction-based tax, such as sales tax or value-added tax. You should check with your business's tax, legal, finance, or accounting department to determine if transaction-based taxes are applicable. You are responsible for collecting and sending the transaction-based taxes to the appropriate tax authority.

As part of the seller registration process, you must complete a tax interview in the AWS Seller Registration Portal. The interview collects your tax information and populates an IRS form W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E, which is used to determine any necessary tax reporting obligations.

The tax information you enter as part of the tax interview might differ depending on whether you operate as an individual or business, and whether you or your business are a US or non-US person or entity. As you fill out the tax interview, keep in mind the following:

  • Information provided by AWS, including the information in this topic, does not constitute tax, legal, or other professional advice. To find out how the IRS reporting requirements might affect your business, or if you have other questions, contact your tax, legal, or other professional advisor.

  • To fulfill the IRS reporting requirements as efficiently as possible, answer all questions and enter all information requested during the interview.

  • Check your answers. Avoid misspellings or entering incorrect tax identification numbers. They can result in an invalidated tax form.

Based on your tax interview responses and IRS reporting thresholds, Amazon might file Form 1099-K. Amazon mails a copy of your Form 1099-K on or before January 31 in the year following the year that your tax account reaches the threshold levels. For example, if your account reaches the threshold in 2018, your Form 1099-K is mailed on or before January 31, 2019.

For more information about IRS requirements and Form 1099-K, see the IRS website.
